Harpa Cademia

Harpa Cademia

Listening to Judith Butler live this evening from Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona give a talk called ‘Bodies That Still Matter’, I was inspired to play my harp as I listened. I realised that I was responding the rhythm, the words and tone of her voice. As soon as I heard myself play the harp together with the spoken word it felt more powerful, more meaningful. It allowed me to not necessarily concentrate on the words she was conveying her message with, but instead feel it. I’m very pleased with the outcome, although short and simple. Once again I feel my practice is blending incidentally.
